Sarah

Sarah is also from the same village as Tenneh, having recently arrived to MamaLand. She grew up with her mom, grandparents, and father. Sarah’s father passed away when she was younger, and her mom has been raising her alone since. Sarah’s mom was 14 years old when she gave birth and is no longer able to care for her and so the government stepped in to find a suitable home for her. Sarah is a quick learner and thrives in the classroom, especially enjoying English. She is gentle and shy but is coming out of her shell as she aspires to become a police officer one day.

Thank you for your support in caring for our girls.

100% of your donation will go to cover the entire care and upbringing of each girl. This will include: housing, food, house mothers to care for and nurture the girls, their education, school uniforms and fees, transportation, clothes, necessary hygiene products, a tutor and medical care for each girl. 

Our estimated costs for the care of each girl is $100 per month, or $1,200 annually.
